Electric vehicle (EV) is starting to dominant the automotive industry due to the ecological concerns of the global warming. Compared to the fuel vehicles, EV requires to adopt a big battery system such that a designed driving range can be guaranteed. The battery design is not just about its chemical properties but also the mechanical behaviors of the battery packaging and its inner structure. EARI has been studying the battery structure and conducting battery mechanical CAE analyses.
