Aerodynamics & Acoustics
Aerodynamics is to study the forces of drag and lift caused by the passing air when the vehicle is moving, while Acoustics is to study the mechanisms of the waves of gases, liquids, and solids including topics such as vibration, sound, ultrasound and infrasound. Since fluid is involved in both of the two fields, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is applied as the CAE methodology to simulate the aerodynamic and acoustic behaviors during the design process.
